I really appreciate you taking your valuable time to help make the Facebook Group an amazing place for all our fabulous knitters. I specifically invited you to become a moderator because of your tremendous contributions to the group. Please know that you are very appreciated. This page is to help you in your moderation role and to make it easy to know what to do in various situations.
This page is a work in progress and is subject to change as we work to create the best possible experience for all the group members and moderators.
Your (Moderator) Guidelines and Expectations
🧶 Moderate Facebook posts with keywords alerts.
🧶 Welcome new members as they respond to the Welcome Sequence posts
– Welcome Sequence post 1
– Welcome Sequence post 2
– Welcome Sequence post 3
🧶 Remove Facebook posts that violate the rules and add a note in the activity log.
🧶 Alert me to posts needing my attention (send me a FB message)
🧶 Help educate and enforce group post guidelines
🧶 Be helpful and supportive inside the group, just as you have been all along!
🧶 Alert me when you feel a member should be removed from the group if a member repeatedly breaks the rules or is aggressive or completely inappropriate.
Magda’s (Admin) Responsibilities
🧶 Approve/delete member requests
🧶 Educate and enforce group post guidelines
🧶 Intervene in group situations to protect the culture of the group.
🧶 Officially remove members from the group in extreme situations.
Please Note
🧶 If a conversation gets out of hand, please turn off commenting and alert me.
🧶 If you aren’t sure if a post is allowed, please do not approve it and alert me.
🧶 If you need to delete a post and you give the poster an explanation, the notice will come from an anonymous moderator/admin. It will not be directly linked to you. If the person has questions, you can direct them to message me directly.
🧶 If you are unsure about anything or have any questions, send me a message through Facebook.
Please Note
🧶 Posts to other designer’s patterns. There are two exceptions to this rule:
– A person can post a photo of a project and if they are asked, they can post a link to the pattern in the comments.
– I will occasionally post asking members to share their favourite something. People are free to post links in the comments of these posts.
🧶 Posts that complain or rant in general. Posts that criticize businesses, other groups or other people.
🧶 Multiple individual posts about the same project.
🧶 All progress updates for a specific project should be in the same post, unless someone is asking for specific help.
🧶 Posts that violate any of the group rules.
